[Digikam-devel] GPhoto2 - Capture

Hi,

the capture method of gphoto2 will simply lock digiKam if you do the following 
(at least with my camera, Nikon D50):

1. Turn on your cam, plug it in
2. in PTP mode, select capture from CameraUI
3. Close your lens (cover it with your lens protection)
4. Now autofocus will fail and the camera will not return a status or 
something like that?
5. gp_camera_capture will stick in its loop, never returning again
6. we also can not cancel, since GPCamera is stuck in its event loop

Can you confirm this for your camera model, too?

If so we need to contact gphoto2, because this lockup is not avoidable.
