Summary: Digikam flash export plugin does not auto-rotate
                    portrait images.
           Product: digikam
           Version: 0.9.4
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: digikam-devel at kde.org
        ReportedBy: cwoods at talk21.com

Version: 0.9.4 (using KDE 4.2.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Hi,

I make frequent use of the Digikam flash export utility. In albums where I
have portrait pictures, the Digikam flash export will output the photos in
landscape mode, even though the Digikam application recognises the photo as
portrait and auto rotates. The flash output then looks really bad as you have
to turn your head sidewards to view a picture :(

To work around I have to copy the photos into a staging folder, use gimp to
rotate and save the portrait images, and then use the flash export to export
the images. This is quite a slow process.

Digikam recognises the photos as portrait and landscape in its album view. The
flash export should also make use of this information when exporting.

I am using Digikam version 0.9.4 on KDE 4.2.2

Thanks

Colin.
