Not for me. I even pressed the ESC key really hard lots of times
while swearing loudly and it still didn't help. Maybe you have a
custom hot key setting (I don't) or a different version of digiKam
(I'm on 0.10.0) or it does something different when the toolbar is
visible (my toolbar is not visible).
