Trying to reproduce with 1.0-beta2 (current trunk) the testcase I described in
#2, it seems to be solved for me.
The Sharpen filter start with fit-to-window zoom now. It feels a bit clumsy as
there is no automatic preview creation now but you have to press "Try",
otherwise there is white background visible, but this is probably intentional
and not the issue here.
So please try the latest 1.0 beta to see if there is a problem remaining.
