Open image in image editor, select area, crop, save + overwrite
=> Preview image, preview in lighttable, thumbnail in icon view, in preview
thumbnail bar, in lighttable thumbnail bar, in editor thumbnail bar is updated.

Can anyone else please check?

Note that this is 100% _not_ KDirWatch dependent.

Thomas, please check if your pictures have embedded previews. See in right
sidebar, Metadata panel, IPTC, select "Full list", look for "Preview Data"
(with binary data)
