A project idea:
It would be nice to have a photobook editor for Linux similar to the
online app you can find on online photo printing services.
One would get a big window, with at the top a preview of the book, add
the bottom a list of thumbnails representing the current Digikam's
selection.
One could drap and drop photo to the pages of the book to place pictures.
A button to insert/delete a double page.
A menu to configure the size of the book.
A list to choose templates to arrange pictures: 1 picture per page, 2
picture per page, with or without title, exif info...
A menu to export the book as : a serie of pictures, a single pdf, or a
scribus file too allow more complex layouts.
This project could use Marcel's implementation of the automatic picture
arrangement algorithm.
My 2 cents,
Julien
