Summary: pause button while importing pictures
Product: digikam
Version: 0.10.0-rc1
Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: digikam-devel at kde.org
ReportedBy: xavier at alternatif.org
Version: 0.10.0-rc1 (using 4.2.00 (KDE 4.2.0), Debian packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.26-1-amd64
I would like to have a pause button in import window.
Sometimes you start importing a bunch of pictures, without verifying if you
have enough space on your hard drive. A pause button can save time useful to
find some files to delete on the hard drive.
I know that Digikam will automatically stop the import if there is no enough
space. You can make some space by dletion of files, and then restart the
process to import the missing pictures.
But the import process takes long times to start on big repository (list of
files, files comparison, thumbnails generation, ...).
