Open showfoto from digikam to edit an image. Then apply e.g. the crop tool.
When finished, click "OK" on the right side of the window. Now showphoto
appears to work for a short time, then both the showfoto and the digikam window
close. 

This does not appear to be a crash (i.e. leaves no core file or any useful
error messages in .xsession-errors).
