Summary: keyboard shortcuts are registered globally
Product: digikam
Version: 0.9.0
Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: unspecified
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Kipiinterface
AssignedTo: digikam-devel at kde.org
ReportedBy: dominik.stadler at gmx.at
Version: 0.9.0 (using KDE 4.3.4)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
for me the keyboard shortcuts from the kipi-plugins are registered globally,
which is quite annoying, as then any of those keyboard shortcuts is always
triggering the kipi-plugin even when I use a completely different application.
E.g. in kipi-plugins CTRL-SHIFT-LEFT/RIGHT is used to rotate pictures.
Now when I start kphotoalbum and have it running in the background, I cannot do
any "select words" in any other application as always the kipi-plugin is
triggered when I try to do that.
This even leads to "loss of data" as this way I already triggered plugins that
I did not want to run at all and which changed picture information in a bad
way!
Additionally there is no way to disable these shortcuts as it seems
kipi-plugins do hardcode them.
