I plan to ask Ubuntu release team for exception for 1.0.0 final release to get
it into karmic-updates. Problem is that they will need to bend the rules a bit
to allow to get it through:

I am sorry that Digikam 1.0.0 release plan was shifted in a way that did not
work for Ubuntu 9.10 and that we did not switch back to 0.10 before release.
