I could confirm this behaviour too.
Selecting stable KDE 4.2 relase from within the installer, everything runs fine
(but older digikam versions though).

Selecting unstable latest or stable 4.3, i get same results described in the
bug.
Installed every package with the installer and no better results.

Also opening a raw file with dngconverter on windows (xp 32bits sp2), it shows
"open dialog", i can select files and click OK... but file don't appear inside.
