Look on the bottom of WB settings. checkbox is here.

This option is enabled by default because peoples whant generaly a correct
exposure at first loading time. We have see a lots of bug report about this
subject

Your case is special and need dedicated settings. uncheck box and digiKam will
remember it between sessions
