Johannes,

I forget to said that 0.10.0 release of digiKam is already able to geotag all
all items indexed from your collections using database. Informations are not
yet stored to ORF files, but at least you can geotag and procress searching
over a map.

Unforget that digiKam as a batch tool to sync file metadata with database. So,
when you will update Exiv2 with ORF writting mode support, GPS info will be
stored in files.
