The problem with my collection might be that I have a lot of small folders. I
photograph a lot (daily) and so I have a folder for nearly every day. This is
why scanning on startup slows down digiKam, but again in 0.9.x it is much much
faster, so fast that I can leave "scan on startup" turned on.
