Summary: filenames are lower case when imported via sd card
reader, upper case when imported via usb cable directly
                    from camera
           Product: digikam
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Mandriva RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: digikam-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: jhaugex online no

Version: (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs
OS: Linux

I import photos with the SD card reader. I don't delete them from the card. Next time, I import the photos using an USB cable from the camera. Then digikam won't understand that the already imported photos are the same as the ones on the camera, and then import duplicates.
