Thanks for the feedback Mik. I will commit my patch to svn.

I have take a look into KMail to see how folder shortcuts is implemented: it's not too complicated and i will do a similar implementation into digiKam core.

About one key shortcut for tag, are you sure than it's currently impossible to do it with KDE3 applications ?
