Summary: Using keyboard with timeline view
           Product: digikam
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Time Line
        AssignedTo: digikam-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: fabien.ubuntu gmail com

Version: (using KDE 3.5.8KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from: Ubuntu PackagesUbuntu Packages
OS: Linux

The timeline feature is really nice, but I'm thinking of some improvements :)
It would be great to be able to use the keyboard (eg. right/left arrows to move the cursor, space for selection) to make the selection in the timeline view.

Also some more minor things :

* the number of items is alone at the right without any description. Maybe one could add "xxx items."

* I think it would be better to display the date in reverse order, eg :
2007 May 09, Wednesday

* when in week view, it would be great to also add dates (eg 18-24)

Finally, for usuability reasons, it would help beginners to have some help text in the right panel when there's no selection (a bit like the welcome page you have when you click on albums).

Voila... :)
