Summary: Empty albums should not be included when sorting albums
                    by date
           Product: digikam
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: digikam-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: Thomas.McGuire gmx net

Version:           0.10.0-svn (rev.: 819557) (using 4.00.84 (KDE 4.0.84 (KDE 4.1 >= 20080625), compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.22.17-0.1-default

When sorting albums by date (View->Sort Albums->By Date), Digikam should not add albums to the list which do not have any images at all.

This often happens with hieracial albums, e.g. consider the following album structure:

- My France Holiday
	\- Paris
	\- Bretagne

Now, assume "My France Holiday" itself has no pictures, only "Paris" and "Bretagne" have.
When sorting by folder, this is fine, since "My France Holiday" has child items.
However, when sorting by date, the list is flat, and displaying "My France Holiday" does not make sense at all.

This was already a problem in KDE3, but in KDE4 it got worse, since Digikam now has the ability to have multiple collections, which also means that there is always an album "$HOME/Pictures" (when the default is used), and that album is usually empty by itself, but always displayed when sorting by date.
