Summary: No Simple Way to Rotate Left/Right by 90 Degrees

          Severity: wishlist

        AssignedTo: digikam-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: aronparsons gmail com

There should be "Rotate Left" and "Rotate Right" options that are easily accessible.

Rotating images in Digikam is overcomplicated. Opening the image to edit it allows you to rotate left/right quickly, but this should be able to be done with buttons on the menu bar or by right clicking an image. This is one of the most common tasks after importing new images from a camera, but it takes forever.

If I recall, back in the 0.8.x versions you could right click an image to do this. I read the comments on simplifying the context menus, but something like this should exist since it is so common. However, things like "Add to Light Table" are in the context menu that I'm sure far fewer people use. :-(

Also, the "Adjust EXIF orientation" menu entry is available under "Image", but the phrasing on the entries are weird/confusing. To rotate the image left, you clicked "Rotated left". That is confusing in my opinion.
