        AssignedTo: digikam-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: Paristo Gmail com

Installed from: Unspecified Other
OS: Linux

Currently Digikam is bretty wise on taggin, if user edits picture and save it with a new name, new image gets same tags and rating as original version.

Suggestion is that there would be option in digikam/showfoto settings what allows user to select a tag what will be added for every edited picture.

Example, user can select tag "edited" from options and everytime user saves picture as new version, it gets "edited" tag so it can be filtered fast.

There is always other options to filter, like if all pictures are JPEG formats and all edited pictures user save in a PNG/TIFF format, it can be filtered fast with current filter options in bottom of view.
Or if user saves files with extended name like "original_edited" or original_v2", user can search those.

Auto taggin would be dificult to implent because does user want to tag files when converting files from RAW to TIFF/PNG and not "editing" pictures? Should picture get tag "edited" when user saves it over original?
