The bug re-appeared in KDE3. To reproduce:

1. Go into tag view
2. Select one tag
3. Remove this tag from one image in the icon view
4. Counter will not be updated

But it will work if you delete an image, so 
1. create a test folder
2. copy some images in it
3. check the counter for one tag in this test folder
4. delete some images again
5. check the tag-folder

So it seems that the collection is not updated when adding / removing tags.

Can anyone confirm this?
