That's strange. I was able to build digikam before, too, without this patch.
I tried cleaning up the build dir, and I run on latest kde from svn 
trunk, but no luck. Have you updated recently?

Somehow those libraries (mostly image plugins and kios) don't get linked 
to basic libraries like Qt even.

I'm on cmake 2.6, if that makes any difference.
