Summary: Audio playback has repeats, pauses, and skips
           Product: digikam
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Fedora RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: digikam-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: jonrysh pacbell net

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.7)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux

When I play an audio file by clicking on its icon in an album, the playback has defects toward the beginning. Parts of the audio may be missing or repeated, or there may be pauses. Samples will (I hope) shortly be attached:

original.wav : An original audio file as downloaded from my camera

playback.wav : The playback as captures by arecord from the alsa audio system, then edited back to roughly the original length.

Capturing the playback in this way makes the problem less frequent.
