Well, we working on next 0.9.1. It will be a Bugfix release. We plan to do :
- the first beta at end of January.
- the RC during first week of February.
- the final release it at middle of February to following the next kubuntu
release plan.
Achim will trying to do the tarballs for each release.
Marcel and me have add new features, like KMediaplayer support, Welcome page,
JPEG2000 codec, etc). Look on NEWS files for details...
We have fixed some B.K.O files and any need to be polished (for example the
Comments Edit widget from Comments & Tags witch still focus for example). The
list of B.K.O files fixed is also in NEWS file.
In B.K.O, i have created a new component named "Color Management". It's your
playing area (:=)))...
Actually, i'm working to backup all users settings from all Image Plugins
between tools sessions.
Marcel working on the support of multiple selection of item from Comments &
Tags side bar (and others stuff).
I recommend to start with the CM files, especially these one :
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138444
It's easy : It will give digiKam more photoshop like again (about
terminology). I recommend to have photoshop 7.x (in English) installed on
your computer, and running with wine like program (here is use cxoffice 5.0
and it work very well).
A second one, witch can be implemented in core image plugin is this one :
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138446
Let's me hear if all is fine for you...
Note : Marcel have started to write a draft for the future improvements of
digiKam (later 0.9.1). It's in the digiKam wiki at this url :
http://wiki.kde.org/tiki-index.php?page=Digikam%20development%20discussion
It's not yet finalized. I have 3 pages to write in the wiki.
Also, there will a _very_ important task todo later 0.9.1 : QT 4.0/KDE 4.0
port. There is no final plan decided. We need to talking about indeep.
Gilles
