It would be very good to add "labels" to images. A label is supposed to be a marker, e.g. as a pre-selection. Think of the following workflow: You come back from a shooting and want to prepare the images for a show, printout or webgallery. While scanning through the images in the album view, you can easily rank the images. But ranking is only based on the quality of the image. It does not tell you, wether the image might be used for the show. If you could easily (via keyboard, that's the fastest) label the image, you can make a pre selection. Once you're done, you can than filter only for those labeled images, maybe compared with the ranking. By that, you have easily reduced the number of images to deal with to a reasonable number and than concentrate on those to make the final selection. The best would be to have a few different labels ("red", "blue", "yellow", ...), all -- of course -- linked to different shortcuts.

Using tags for such selection is not really a solution. First, tags are IMHO used to describe the content of the image, secondly, you can't assign tags via keyboard.

In the end, it should be possible to remove all labels from images in one album in one step.
