Summary: slideshow from digikam could use some filter options
           Product: digikam
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: digikam-devel kde org
ReportedBy: simon margo student utwente nl

Version: 0.9.3 (using KDE KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

First of all, I'm very glad that in v0.9.3 it's now very easy to filter raw files from the album display. However, this feature hasn't yet found its way into the slideshow or advanced slideshow features of digikam.

The quick button for full screen slideshow could be enhanced by having the options:
All (no filter)
All (filtered by type)
Selected Images Only
With all subalbums (no filter)
With all subalbums (filtered by type).

Having said that, I don't think it's a good idea to have a menu under a toolbar button for something like slideshow (it only confuses matters, I think). So perhaps this should be selected in a right-bar(?) section, also including filters based on tags or filenames?

In the advanced slideshow option, I'd like to use a number of characteristics to filter for a slideshow:

- tags (set or unset)
- dates (range(s))
- filename mask
- filetype filter

And regarding the quick filter at the bottom, could it be used to have some sort of logical filter based on tags and perhaps filename? A syntax like: "f:ar* and t:food", f: is a filename filter, t: a tag filter. If not specified it could be one or the other or try both.

Cheers

Simon
