Summary: selecting pictures on the camera lets the scroll-bar
jump back to the top of the list
Product: digikam
Version: 0.9.1
Platform: SuSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Camera GUI
AssignedTo: digikam-devel kde org
ReportedBy: sven.burmeister gmx net
Version: 0.9.1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux
To reproduce this you have to have a few pictures on the camera in order to trigger the scrollbar in the d/l dialogue.
When opening a camera via digikam the first picture in the list is selected automatically. If one scrolls down to the last pictures on the camera and tries to select them with the rubber-band, i.e. dragging the mouse in order to select all of the pictures within the drawn frame, the list jumps to top, making it impossible to select those pictures.
There are two problems:
First, it is not possible to not have any picture selected. If one clicks on the one selected picture with CTRL pressed, i.e. de-select if selected, it still stays selected.
Second, if the user uses the rubber-band to select pictures and does not press CTRL while doing so, all pictures that were selected must be de-selected and the selection shoudl only include those pictures within the drawn frame. And of course the list must not jump to top or anywhere else while doing so, it should only scroll up/down if the mouse-cursor hits the top/bottom of the list while using the rubber-band.
