Summary: Filter which files to import.
           Product: digikam
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Debian testing
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: digikam-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: SmallR2002 V8d Org

Version: 0.9.0-beta1-r1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.4)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

I think it'd be a good idea to use the 'duplicate images' checksums to check new photos in case you've already imported/downloaded them. It might be an idea to be able to set other filters as well, for example:
- Already downloaded (as mentioned before)
- Taken between xx/xx/xxxx and yy/yy/yyyy
- Resolution
- Size (MB not resolution)
- Various EXIF data, ie: camera, shutter speed, etc.

Also, just a bit of an idea, what about setting file date to the exif date? I know it's easy to do this via the command line but some people might like it to work automatically, especially if their camera has a bug.
