Achim, under Mandriva 2006, i cannot reproduce the problem to uninstall Exiv2 
from svn (0.11) and to install Exiv2 0.10 instead.

I will trying to find a solution, but it's will be difficult to check it if i 
cannot reproduce this problem on my computer.
