Summary: Wrong exif and properties data, and broken thumbnail
when saving an image
Product: digikam
Version: unspecified
Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: digikam-devel kde org
ReportedBy: aironmail gmail com
Version: 0.9-svn (using KDE KDE 3.5.3)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
It's the first time that I see that problem. I've recompiled today the svn.
The problem is that when I save an JPEG image after making some corrections or not, selecting a new name for the file, the first thing that I observe is that digikam doesn't generate a thumbnail for the new image, it just keep showing an icon. Then I check the exif data and it's lost. If now I open the Properties tab, most of the data has been lost, and the image properties are crazy. The original image properties are:
Type: JPEG
Dimensions: 2160x1440 (3.11Mpx)
Compression: unavailable
Bits Depth: unavailable
Color Mode: Color
And it also includes File Properties and Photograph Properties.
The new saved image only includes Image Properties, and they're the following:
Type: JPEG
Dimensions: 48275x47646 (-1994.86Mpx)
Compression: unavailable
Bits Depth: unavailable
Color Mode: Black and white
Curiously if I click on the image, the editor opens it correctly and the bottom right box it's displaying the correct resolution. But the Properties and Metadata tabs are still broken.
