It would be useful to add meta information to a tag especially a description.

I use the tags to depict details about collections of pictures such as the date, location and the reasons for the shoot.

Pictures are then organised into albums for various reasons such as family shots, Wedding Album, Extra wedding shots (that did not make it into the album). With the wedding shots I use the tag to determine all the photos taken at a particular wedding and the date.
