I've build 0.8.2-svn from stable trunk and EXIF infos
are still deleted for a readonly picture.   Here the
output digikam writes:

digikam: Saving to :/home/ttt/Pictures/Test-Test-Test/HUK6qb.tmp (jpeg)
digikam: WARNING: Error in opening output file
digikam: WARNING: Failed to open file: /home/ttt/Pictures/Test-Test-Test/HUK6qb.tmp
digikam: Dirty: /Test-Test-Test
digikam: Found JPEGLossless plugin
