Summary: Access denied. Could not write to digikamalbums
           Product: digikam
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Fedora RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: digikam-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: cragel twcny rr com

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.1)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux

After yum update of KDE to 3.5.1, DigiKam refuses to import any photos. Sample error is:
Access denied. Could not write to digikamalbums://%2Fhome%2Fbob%2Pictures /New%20Year%202006/dscn0349 jpg
All photos are maintained in /home/bob and there are no unusual permissions issues. I have tried 'chmod 777 /usr/bin/digikam' but no difference. I have also copied and pasted new photos to the existing albums in /home/bob but still not recognized within digikam.
"yum remove digikam" followed by 'yum install digikam' does not correct the problem.
Perhaps a separate issue, but the Digikam handbook is not found/available.
As info, photos are inputted through smartcard, not direct camera link.
