I'm using this option and to be honest i can't see any reason why to remove it! Ok, it seems not to be losless, but that could be documented. On the other side it  is very comfortable that the images are orientaed in the right way.

Personally i'm willing to accept the loose of image quality. Perhaps the option should not be selected b y default (if it is?), but it's a really good option and the user should decide by it's own if he uses it!
