Summary: WISH : Display all pictures when no tag is selected
                    instead of no picture
           Product: digikam
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: digikam-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: ryfe.972 gmail com

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

Hello everybody,

When I open Digikam, I would like to see ALL my pictures (actually all the thumbnails) in the main board instead of juste a blank giant field with nothing visible.

In other words, when NO tag is selected, I would really appreciate to have all my pictures Digikam actually manages (ranked in chronological order or the contrary).

I don't know if that's what is meant here and I hope my wish is compatible with this one.

For now, I'm obliged to give ALL my pictures a tag called "be there if no tag is selected" and always have this tag activated when I want to navigate in all my pictures.

I let Photoshop Album when I switched to Linux and I think the ability to navigate ALL your pictures, no matter wich album or wich tag is selected is really necessary and great.

To my point of view, a solution :
Choose in Parameters if :
* You want to see nothing when nothing is selected or
* You want to see all your pictures when nothing is selected.
*Of course, in both situation, when you select an album or a tag, Digikam will do the same as it does now.

I hope that I'm clear enough and that my english is quite understandable.
If you want more precision or explanation, I'm your man.

Thanks a lot
