Note that the Summary says: "date of first image"

First in my PTP folder is curve.ntc
its date is 1 january 1970 00.59.58 (close to seconds=0)

- this is not an image, it should not affect the date

A problem is that NEF files looks like this

(other fields as for curve.ntc)

I wonder where the MIME-type comes from - camera?
Maybe use MIME/file-types as specified in the Digikam settings?
