Hi, the loss of exif infos should be fixed AFAIR.  If you have time
can you try:

Note this is an unofficial build of the beta1 tarball I'm
preparing (final beta1 tarball will be slightly modified).

I hope to get beta1 into dapper, despite the version freeze.
