Compiled today's trunk: it is even worse. I am not able to view in Date
view thumbnails of images which are viewable in other panels. This apply
to dates where that images (viewable somewhere else) would in in the
same view as non-viewable thumbnails (in month scale and lower).

Checked in Konqueror. It can perfectly well create thumbnails of images
in question. Problem lies somewhere in digiKam, not underlying KDE
technology. Once more(?) attaching one of images.
