I simply grabed the album in the left hand pane of digikam and moved it to a new position in the tree. In my ablum structure I arrange my ablums by Year. My Top ablum will be named for example 2000's this may contain photo's and ablums that can not be placed in a specific year. I then have Ablums for all the years 2000, 2001 etc. These will contain both photo's and ablums. Ablums usually have a name for predominate subject. These ablums were placed in order, I then taged and commented some ablums. Then decided that I did not like the tree order for the ablums so rearranged them. I renamed ablums by clicking on ablums, edit properties and changed name. Hope this helps.
