If you want to create more splashcreen for digiKam _and_ showfoto, please send 
me your photograph directly in PNG. Do not included the digiKam logo, i will 
do it later.

About your present picture, you need to polish your composition to use golden 
mean technics. I had included a composition guide based on Golden mean on 
digiKam 0.8.0 (coming in beat later summer). Take a look of the current tool
