Urgent: Is the domain koffice.net still needed?

We have a number of links to articles of koffice.org what for my
understanding represents is huge part of what KDE was and thus, what
it is. Another example is
the Kontact suite.
We had some discussion this month about preserving these links.
Regardless technicalities and of availability volunteers to do that,
this will not be possible if we loose the domain to hijackers so I
would propose to keep it. And hope this will be not a disaster for the
budget. :)
Regarding koffice.net, it's not important at all.
