Thanks for the update, Jay, this very discussion is a news to me,
I agree the task isn't small. And having the feature implemented over
a proprietary specs (in LO only for example) may be somewhat against
the principles of the ODF proponents.

Given my current priorities, at most I am open for a light review of
specs if they appear, that's all I can offer "from my pocket".
Let's keep in mind that in non-classic apps/components such as Kexi
Reports or in Forms, we would end up with ODF-like solutions as there
are different concepts in use, e.g. no direct use of office:styles.

For the end-user similarities between themes in many apps  would be
beneficial anyway and that is something exciting to follow.
