I can only repeat myself and say that IMHO that is so needed, this makes you a 
hero :)

If you need volunteers to create some test files, please remember to ask me to 
help with that.

I see that your test files you posted also to the office-comment ml are about 
skewX/skewY, so the problem how to deal with existing non-spec-complying docs 
should hopefully discussed as a follow-up.

Okay, good to see that posting to that list still seem useful. Just missing 
out any kind of non-automatic feedback in 1 1/2 years to show that actually TC 
humans are reading it really needs to be improved. As one usually first reads 
the archive to see how the common posting style is, and seeing no human TC 
reaction makes this list look a dead-end.

Yes, would be good to have something that can be estimated automatically and 
mapped onto a single metric. But how would you calculate scores for the 
rendering? Can we expect pixel perfectness? And how to create the reference?
