Okay, for the beta1 announcement, something like this:

"Since Krita 2.3, the Krita developers have spent the majority of their effort on improving the brush editor and brush preset management. You can now tag brush presets using KDE's Nepomuk system or an XML-based system that is compatible with GIMP's resource tagging. The new brush preset docker makes it easy to select presets while painting, and the popup palette can be used to select a number of favourite presets.

As you can see, the preset docker also has direct integration with the tagging system and with Get Hot New Stuff -- you can now share presets with other artists in the easiest possible way.

The preset editor has been expanded enormously following feedback from artists using Krita. You have many more options, from new color sources like gradients and patters for your brushes, to opacity settings with curves. There are new brush engines to play with, and most of them allow you to paint in horizontal or vertical mirroring mode as well!
