OK, subpages can be enabled as described here
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:LocalSettings.php#Enabling_subpages
in your LocalSettings.php.

Regarding links, I know your script is moving everything down into
Calligra page. So I propose not to transform links that are relative.
This is not needed. You can recognize them easily, these have one of
these prefixes:
[[..

(what means the same as cd ..{/some/dirs} i.e. moving up in hierarchy
possiblt to parent and then to subpage of the parent)

or

[[/

(what means the same as cd .{/some/dirs} i.e. a link to subpage of the
current page)
