Opensuse has a repository with weekly KDE trunk snapshots:

http://en.opensuse.org/KDE/Repositories#UNSTABLE_.28KDE_trunk.29

Using that in a virtual machine might be an easy way to test trunk
without having to take care of compilation and dependencies.
