[Bugsquad] canonical bugs

So some of our incoming bugs should be fun.

nVidia example:
If you've been following the non-drama parts of planet, you've seen:
http://vizzzion.org/?blogentry=819
with links to: http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-core-devel&m=121224059101922&w=2
and one bug: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=160467

There's probably more in bugzilla. I figure this kind of thing can get filed
against kwin, konqueror, plasma, you name it. And if you don't know offhand
what the original bug to dup it against is, seaching is going to waste your
time. Not to mention if you didn't know it was actually an nVidia issue to
begin with.

fwiw, there's only 14 bugs in bz that actually mention nVidia in the subject.
But there's others that seem to be related. I'm not really sure if they ought
to be together or not, or if so, where. ?

I figure it might make sense to have some kind of internal page of bugs
that newbies might want to know about. I started listing a few on my techbase
userpage under "Annoying bugs so I can find them again". I don't want to
duplicate bugzilla, I'm figuring there's only going to be maybe 5-10 bugs
per module for these. Things that are common dups, and major bugs, and rare
would qualify. Like:

no proxy support in konq4: [155707]
kio_http ipv6 dns bug: [154774]

(which katastrophe says drove him wild until I told him about them
and I think I only knew the latter from dot comments, of all places...)

or

konqueror crashes on close: [156172] <----from ~4.00.80 closed now

(but who knows how long we'll keep getting bug reports against it (hopefully
not), you can look at how many dups we had on it... and those were only the
ones with valid backtraces; this one might be obsolete though)

or

flash on kde4 messed up because of qt3's gtk engine [162824]
 Quote Pinotree in comments:
The reason is simple: do *NOT* use gtk-qt-engine for gtk.
Otherwise, your konqueror4 will load the flash plugin, that in turns uses gtk,
that in turns loads Qt3 (because of gtk-qt), and the imcompatibility between
Qt3 and Qt4 will do the rest. (He closed it as invalid.)

(I would have never known this, and I suspect it will come up again.)
(I'd like to have some kind of better flash triage section, actually. In this
case, it might just consist of finding bug reports where clueful people
commented on them and writing them up.)

but not

makes Der Spiegel unreadable (gwenview bug) [161443]

While this one is annoying, and something I could dup only because I'd
actually come across it before, it doesn't really count.

Does that make sense? Does it sound like a good idea? Do you have your own
bookmark folder of bugs you refer to?

Alex
