[Bugsquad] impossible to access samba share from kde4.1

hi there

i use ubuntu hardy heron, and kde4.1beta.


kde 4.1 beta  fails to mount and display japanese samba shares
(shared directory which have their name written in japanese)
like :   //192.168.11.128/share/ニコ/<http://192.168.11.128/share/%E3%83%8B%E3%82%B3/>
(directory name written in japanese reads: "niko" )

i can mount the share, but i cannot browse it ..
konsole and dolphin only show a couple of ?? (question mark symbols) instead
of
the directory name in japanese, and the content of that directory cannot be
displayed at all.. nothing..
i have created a bug report:  bug number 164897

btw, an user in #kde report the same problem with cyrillic shares too

update:
i've just noticed konsole is displaying *local* japanese filenames as
????.avi (question mark symbols.avi)
(dolphin display filename ok, for that particular local file, but  konsole
doesn't)


kde3, pcmanfm and gnome display japanese directory names and file names
correctly and
are able to mount and browse japanese shares too. this is a kde4 problem i
think
