Hi

On an up-to-date Debian testing/ "wheezy" running Gnome as primary DE
but with full KDE4 install as well, Amarok keeps crashing seconds after
I launch it by command line or by menu. The full window (I opted not to
have the splash screen) is painted and it looks like it is going to get
populated but then it crashes. I installed the gdb program and have
included the output of that below:

===== end debug info ==========

One potential test is to set up a new user and launch Amarok from that
account. However, is this actually going to be helpful for my present
situation when I would have thought that the same libraries would be
called regardless of the user. Anyway, I confess, I don't know and I
don't even know what I should be Googling.

More to the point I want to get back to enjoying Amarok. It has come on
in leaps and bounds and is looking mature and I always rely on it. Now
I am having to try out alternatives, so I would appreciate any help some
Amarok wizard can offer.

Thanks in (hopeful!) anticipation for any ideas/ leads, etc.

Cheers
AG
