Questions about the Scripts API

Hello!

I am looking into developing a script, and one of the things that I would
need was to change the playcount, I took a look at the API and found no
function to change this directly, is the only way to do it querying the
database directly?
Is there anyway to request tracks from Dynamic Playlists via scripts?
